I am an advocate for innovative uses of technology and media for the empowerment of local communities. I completed a year of service with the AmeriCorps *VISTA Community Technology Centers Project and recently started my second year of service as a VISTA Leader in San Francisco. I'm completing my service while serving as the Online Community Manager for the National Alliance for Media Arts and Culture.

I am always looking for work that combines my passion for creative technology use and online community building.

Involved in electronic music since discovering a cassette copy of Kraftwerk's 'Computer World' back in 1981. Consequently led to my love of synthesizers and drum machines. Wankchops pointed me in the direction of the site. I am currently interviewing people to help me reverse engineer anything that has been reverse engineered.

I'm an improviser, a percussionist and soundartist. I run a label and as a member of the Trummerflora collective I organize events and curate shows. I'm always interested in meeting other artists whose art engages the community. I hope to present performances and workshops in collaborationwuth share and kava lounge.

I'm a saxophonist, ethnomusicologist, composer, improviser, and budding computer musician. I am a professor in the Critical Studies and Experimental Practices Program in the Music Department at UCSD.
