I am an advocate for innovative uses of technology and media for the empowerment of local communities. I completed a year of service with the AmeriCorps *VISTA Community Technology Centers Project and recently started my second year of service as a VISTA Leader in San Francisco. I'm completing my service while serving as the Online Community Manager for the National Alliance for Media Arts and Culture.

I am always looking for work that combines my passion for creative technology use and online community building.

I'm an improviser, a percussionist and soundartist. I run a label and as a member of the Trummerflora collective I organize events and curate shows. I'm always interested in meeting other artists whose art engages the community. I hope to present performances and workshops in collaborationwuth share and kava lounge.

I believe in Share, and Share SD. I deeply value the untouched talent that forever amazes me with each new event. There are so many diamonds in San Diego. Each new set from each new player begets a newly polished stone.

I'm a saxophonist, ethnomusicologist, composer, improviser, and budding computer musician. I am a professor in the Critical Studies and Experimental Practices Program in the Music Department at UCSD.

I'm Mike.
I am a community partner of ShareSD in San Diego. It's a really rad open-digiterati jam session and a global community of media jammers, culture hackers, and meme shifters dedicated to the free and open exchange of ideas around media, culture and it's performance at the Kava Lounge Gallery on Kettner.
ShareSD hosts an open jam every 2nd Saturday of the month, at the beautiful Kava Lounge Gallery from 7 pm to 11pm. Share is a FREE, open jam for audio, visual and multimedia artists.

I am a graphic artist, marketing director and project manager for the money, and a photographer, multi media artist, documentarian, community media arts instructor, video experimentor and music digger for the love.

Recently, I've worked on putting together Origami, (one mo' fo' the love) a small and locally based events listing medium and network of artists and generally brilliant weirdos. This began as a folded print media (hence Origami), and is now in the works of making a web-based debut.
